Pumpkin Carving

Last night Micia, Ally and I carved our Halloween pumpkins! It is one of my favorite parts of the Halloween season. We had so much fun I didn't realize until we had finished how many we had carved in 2 1/2 hours of work. Micia--our resident Cowboy's fan-had 6 patterns that she wanted to carve into pumpkins that were all Dallas Cowboy's related.

I carved a Micky Mouse, a BYU block "Y", the Jazz & helped Micia with one of hers. Ally carved a killer New York Yankee symbol and helped with some of Micia's (she was a little late getting started as she attended ward FHE first, what a good girl she is). It was fun to sit around and talk and get caught up-especially on Ally's weekend trip and happenings. I loved when we lit all the candles and turned out the lights. They always look so much better when you do that. It was then that we realized that we had carved no traditional pumpkins! Not 1 jack-o-lantern face in the bunch!
